Founded as a mustard manufacturer in Munich in 1845, the owner Johann Conrad Develey achieved a real sensation a few years later: Driven by the joy of experimentation, he mixed caramelized sugar and a special blend of spices with his hot mustard. The result: the sweet mustard . A short time later, the first white sausage is served in Munich. The mustard creation is still made today according to the original recipe from 1854. The Develey brand now has a 175-year history and offers a diverse product portfolio that includes mustard, barbecue sauces , salad dressing , ketchup and mayonnaise .
